Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, who also held gold at 185 pounds, is contemplating a drop to the lightweight division to capture his third crown in as many weight classes.

Colby Covington is not impressed.

In fact, the current interim welterweight champion, who will likely lose that distinction once Tyron Woodley and Darren Till throw hands at UFC 228, believes “Rush” is being a “little fucking bitch” by ducking the best guys at 170 pounds.

“I know GSP is looking for a dance partner in Toronto,” Covington told BJPenn.com Radio. “He claims to be the greatest welterweight of all time, but we all know that’s just claims. He doesn’t even wanna fight at welterweight anymore. He’s a little fucking bitch. He’s trying to fight lightweights, and he’s doing anything he can to avoid the welterweight division, ’cause he knows I’m here now. He knows I’m the welterweight champ.”

Promotion president Dana White expressed interest in having the French-Canadian phenom return at the upcoming UFC 231 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place Sat., Dec. 8, 2018 inside Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

St-Pierre hasn’t mentioned anything about an early winter comeback following his recent battle with colitis. In fact, “Rush” appears to be exclusively chasing “legacy fights” — his new motivation for return — effectively striking Covington from the equation.

Not that this welterweight headliner had any better chance.
