Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos Willing To Try Fighting At 135 Lbs

Strikeforce Women’s Featherweight champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ Santos is currently preparing for her upcoming title defense against challenger Hiroko Yamanaka on December 17 when the two meet in the co-main event of Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal.

In this interview, ‘Cyborg’ shows off her much improved English by conducting the whole interview without an interpreter. The champ says she wants to stay as busy as possible, but due to the lack of legitimate opponents at 145 lbs is looking at dropping down to 135 lbs in the future. Santos says she walks around at 160+ lbs on average, noting that it would be very tough for her to fight at bantamweight, but she is willing to give it a try.

I guess fans will have to wait and see after this fight with Yamanaka what the future holds for the Women’s champion.
