Cris Cyborg mends fences with diet coach after birth control blowout

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) doesn’t have a women’s 145-pound division (blame him), so in order for it to capitalize on the popularity of Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Cristiane Justino, it must ask her to meet bantamweights somewhere in the middle.

Considering “Cyborg” already struggles to make her usual mark, shedding those extra five pounds will require the help of an expert. Enter nutritionist George Lockhart, who felt the Brazilian’s wrath after putting her on birth control pills (watch it).

But that’s all water under the bridge, according to her conversation with MMA Junkie:

“I trust (Lockhart). This day I was really pissed off and stressed. That day I was really pissed off, so we gave him the opportunity to say why this is happening. Everybody fights, it’s normal in family. We’re cool now. We’re training together, and today he ran with me.”

Cyborg knows a thing or two about running, man.

Whether she runs through her next opponent, Lina Lansberg, remains to be seen. But first she has to make weight for their UFC Fight Night 95 main event this weekend in Brazil, which is hardly a foregone conclusion.
