The California state athletic commission expects to officially release information pertaining to Chael Sonnen‘s UFC 117 drug test results later today, a CSAC athletic inspector has informed MMA Fighting.
Over the weekend, Sherdog reported that Sonnen had failed his post-fight test, while the LA Times reported that he’d failed his pre-fight screening. The LA Times story more specifically reported that Sonnen had tested positive for a steroid. Both reports cited CSAC executive officer George Dodd as the source. To date, however, the CSAC has not yet officially disclosed exactly what was in Sonnen’s system.
