Danielle Bregoli has turned her 15 minutes of Dr. Phil fame into a budding music career, one that just might lead to MMA as well.

Could Danielle Bregoli be the next celebrity crossover to MMA? The “cash me ousside” girl shot to fame after a guest appearance on Dr. Phil for an episode about uncontrollable teenagers. And she’s since turned those 15 minutes of fame into a burgeoning hip hop career, having already become the youngest female rap artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

That fast track to fame includes a series of music videos, one of which – ‘Juice’ – features UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg. And by the sound of it, that guest appearance seems to have kicked off something of a friendship between the two women.

Cyborg recently sat down with TMZ Sports, where she revealed that she had extended an invitation to Bregoli to train in mixed martial arts at her gym (transcript via MMA Fighting).

“I invited her to go to my gym too,” Cyborg said. “I would like to train her, show some disciplines of mixed martial arts, and show my work for her. I think it’s a great opportunity.

“I invited her to come and she’s gonna come to the gym and I will show a little bit about martial arts. She says she really likes street fights. The first day I met her she said, ‘I don’t like gloves, I like a street fight.’ So I’m gonna show a little bit about mixed martial arts for her.

“Soon we’re gonna train together and I think mixed martial arts teaches kid discipline. I think you learn a lot. When I started training I learned a lot, you know, respect. I think you learn a lot of things and kids should learn mixed martial arts for discipline.”

The champ was noncommittal on the prospect of Bregholi setting foot in the Octagon, though, saying “Maybe. If she likes street fights, maybe she likes fighting in a cage.” So, who knows? If her music career continues to bring success, a possible CM Punk-esque turn to MMA could be in her future.

In the meantime, the Brazilian 145er is getting ready for a superfight against bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in December. The two women are schedule to face off in the co-main event of UFC 232 in Las Vegas, NV. A light heavyweight bout between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson is set to headline the card.
