It appears as though Thiago Silva’s days of fighting in the UFC are over.

Just hours after the 31-year-old Brazilian was arrested at his South Florida home, UFC president Dana White told TMZ, “This guy will never fight in the UFC again.” White said the same to Yahoo! Sports.

After his bond hearing Friday morning, Silva has officially been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of resisting an officer without violence for an alleged incident that occurred Thursday night in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

He is currently being held at the Broward Sheriff’s Office main jail.

Silva began his UFC career as a 10-0 prospect at UFC 71 in May 2007. His current record is 16-3, with two no contests as a result of two failed post-fight drug tests. His most recent fight was an Oct. 2013 win over Matt Hamill in which he failed to make weight for. He was scheduled to fight Ovince St. Preux at UFC 171 next month.
