Dana White isn’t happy with Alistair Overeem, but he hasn’t decided whether the former No. 1 contender still has a job with the UFC.

The UFC president was informed by popular radio host Jim Rome on Wednesday of the nine-month punishment Overeem received on Tuesday after the Nevada State Athletic Commission denied his request for a license. And upon hearing the news, White said that he expected the NSAC to come down harder on Overeem.

“Nine months? Nine months isn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be,” White said.

“I thought he would get a year. Easily a year.”

White is clearly upset with Overeem, who he has said repeatedly told him and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta multiple times that he was “the most tested man in sports.” At Tuesday’s NSAC hearing, Overeem said that he received an anti-inflammatory shot for an injured rib from a doctor in January, which unbeknownst to him, contained testosterone. He gave himself another shot right before he was asked to take a random drug test following a March 27 press conference in Las Vegas. He ended up failing the drug test when his testosterone to epitestosterone ratio came back at 14:1, which is more than double the NSAC’s limit of 6:1.

“I’m not a fan,” White said. “I’m not a fan at all. You’re not going to hear me today on your radio show defending Alistair Overeem. Believe me.”

White said on the radio show that he believes Overeem lied to the UFC, but considering his hectic travel schedule lately, he hasn’t been able to get the full story of what transpired at Tuesday’s hearing in Nevada.

“We’ll see what happens,” White said when asked about Overeem’s future in the UFC. “We’ll see what happens, man.”
