Rising heavyweight star Daniel Cormier will not be competing on next week’s Strikeforce Challengers 10 card in Phoenix, Ariz., after all, MMA Fighting confirmed with Strikeforce officials. Cormier’s involvement on the card was never officially announced by the organization, but it was discussed publicly by all parties involved.
Cormier, a two-time Olympic wrestler, improved to 3-0 over the weekend when he defeated Lucas Browne at Xtreme MMA 2 in Sydney, Australia. Prior to that win, the 31-year-old had won his first two fights under the Strikeforce banner.
