TMZ reports that a recent lawsuit, filed in LA County by attorney Greg Kirakosian on behalf of “Jane Doe,” alleges in graphic detail an assault by Oscar De La Hoya. In it, Doe claims the incident occurred in November of 2017. She is demanding unspecified damages for sexual assault, sexual battery, gender violence, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Doe admits the two had engaged in consensual sex in an ongoing relationship prior to the assault. On the night in question, Doe alleges she visited De La Hoya’s new home in Pasadena, where she says the former championship boxer and current fight promoter produced several bottles of liquor and a bag of what Doe believed to be cocaine.

The TMZ article states that once De La Hoya, 46, had apparently become intoxicated, they moved to the bedroom. De La Hoya reportedly made a series of requests with which Doe was uncomfortable. After repeatedly saying no, Doe claims she found herself dealing with a frustrated De La Hoya, who ultimately “overpowered her and suddenly and forcefully pushed his hand and fist into the Plaintiff’s vagina.”

After she screamed in pain, De La Hoya allegedly laughed at her and suggested she take a shot of alcohol. She refused and left the home.

Reportedly, she then subsequently sought medical treatment at an urgent care facility for the injuries she sustained in the encounter. And later, therapy “with a Doctor of Psychology and Certified Sex Therapist who diagnosed Plaintiff with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder arising from the sexual battery by De La Hoya.”

The article further states that Jane Doe continues to deal with the psychological aftermath of the assault, including “extreme distress, humiliation, indignation and outrage—along with depression, anxiety and related symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress disorder.”

This is not the first time De La Hoya has been named in a sexual assault suit. A 15 year old sued him in San Bernadino, CA, accusing him of having raped her in Mexico in 1996. The suit was settled out of court. He was also accused of rape in Mexico in 1998, but Mexican authorities did not charge him with a crime and De La Hoya maintains his innocence.

De La Hoya has not issued a statement. His most recent public communication was on Twitter, where he posted a PSA for women’s health. He encouraged fans to help “knockout breast cancer for good,” adding the hashtag, “#RealMenWearPink.”
