Did Conor McGregor even the score against Nate Diaz in their rematch? Diaz certainly doesn’t think so.

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz are tied one apiece in one of the greatest modern rivalries in UFC history, but Diaz thinks it’s laughable that McGregor evened the score in the rematch.

Diaz submitted McGregor in a shocking upset victory at UFC 196, but McGregor rebounded with a majority decision win in the UFC 202 main event to tie the score.

Diaz maintains he never truly lost to McGregor and believes that he is still the vastly superior mixed martial artist.

“He got finished off with a choke. That last fight didn’t even thangs out. He’s still far behind but it’s Gucci,” Diaz wrote on Twitter, which prompted McGregor to issue the following lighthearted response.

“@NateDiaz209 happy anniversary kid. Party tonight in Delilah!” McGregor replied.

McGregor has long believed a trilogy bout with Diaz is inevitable, and the latter’s recent Tweet could be an indication of mutual interest. McGregor is currently sidelined due to injury, however, but Diaz is no stranger to long layoffs himself. Don’t be too surprised to see both men run it back a third time when ‘The Notorious’ is fully recovered in mid-to-late 2022.
