Nate Diaz and Bruce Buffer had an exchange on social media after the UFC announcer’s recent comments about “bowing to Dana White.”
Bruce Buffer recently went on record to say that he doesn’t want to hear any complaints from Nate Diaz, and the fighter should actually be “bowing to Dana White every time you see him” because the UFC made him millions of dollars.
It’s a bit of a weird statement from Buffer, as that actually goes both ways — UFC should also be thankful that Diaz made them millions. Either way, Diaz seems to have taken offense to the UFC announcer’s comments and took to twitter about it.
Bruce Buffer wtf get off the Ufc nuts your bowing down right now tellling me to bow down? fuck that u keep bowing down.
I Bow down to no one ever
for alll the money n the world…— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) August 27, 2018
Buffer also seems to have backpedalled a bit after Nate’s response.
With all respect Nate that is not what I meant by saying the word “bow”, I meant it as a sign of respect as in when greeting someone, not a sign of submission as I’d never expect you to do that for anyone @NateDiaz209 https://t.co/TkMUOTYnmX

Diaz is currently booked to face Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 this November. He hasn’t fought since splitting his two bouts with Conor McGregor in 2016. Both of those events reportedly ended up being the two highest grossing UFC PPV’s of all time.
His disclosed pay for those two events were $500,000 and $2,000,000, respectively.
