Conor McGregor returned to contact sports earlier Saturday when the former UFC double champion joined a friendly game of soccer to show off his skills.
“Notorious” is no stranger to football after spending much of his childhood in Ireland playing the sport. Of course, McGregor eventually turned to combat sports and honed his skills in boxing and then mixed martial arts (MMA). The UFC superstar is still passionate about the sport of soccer, but fight fans don’t see him play that often.
On Saturday, a video surfaced showing McGregor playing a friendly game of soccer. It was only about 30 seconds long, but that was still enough time for “Notorious” to slide into his opponents twice and then wrestle another player to the ground. It was pretty competitive to say the least, which is exactly what McGregor likes.

McGregor, who has been recently making headlines for all the wrong reasons, is still waiting for his long-awaited return to UFC. The Irish superstar had his comeback scheduled for UFC 303 last June against Michael Chandler, but a broken toe knocked him out of commission.
What are you thoughts, fight fans? Did McGregor go too hard during this friendly game of soccer?
