While the likelihood of Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor sitting down for a beer after UFC 202 is slim-to-none, Diaz and Donald Cerrone doing that appears to be possible.
Cerrone told MMAjunkie recently that he has squashed the long-running feud between his camp and that of the Diaz brothers.
“I went up and talked to Nate and Nick,” Cerrone said. “I said, ‘Hey man, this (expletive) has got to stop> We either have to figure it out or figure it out.’ You know what I mean? They were like, ‘Cool, man.’ Every time we see each other, it’s like I don’t want to mug you across the room all the time. I’m tired of that (expletive). Let’s just be cool. They were like, ‘Yeah man. (Expletive) all that. Let’s just move forward and keep it Dougie.’ It’s just easier that way.”
Cerrone and Nate Diaz fought back at UFC 141, with Diaz scoring a decision. “Cowboy” returns on the same UFC 202 card this weekend that features Diaz vs. Conor McGregor when he meets Rick Story.
