Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is one of the UFC’s most popular fighters, but he does not get along with Reebok very well. Cerrone was fined for a slight modification he made on his official Reebok gear that he wore during his UFC lightweight title fight with Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on FOX 17.
Cerrone took a jab at the appeal company when he posted a photo of him and training partners wearing Nike gear, which is a rival of Reebok’s. Cerrone posted this on Twitter and Instagram:
Sure love the way my @nike shoes and shorts fit! So many different styles & color options!!… https://t.co/kWgxk57YNh

Cerrone has not been afraid of voicing his opinion about Reebok as he recently told Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour that UFC officials told him that if he committed the same violation that he did at UFC on FOX 17, then they wouldn’t let him fight again.
“And then the part that really upset me is that they said if I do it again, I won’t be able to fight again,” he told Ariel Helwani. “So, that kind of buckled me.
“We’ll see. I mean, I plan on wearing it again. If they want to fine me, I’m going to wear it again. We’ll see.”
Cerrone is set to fight Tim Means in a welterweight main event at UFC Fight Night 82 on February 21st.
