Two Ultimate Fighter winners will collide in June as Eddie Gordon meets Antonio Carlos Junior in Hollywood, Fla.
Winner of the reality show as a heavyweight, “Cara de Sapato” will down to middleweight for a bout against “Truck” at the TUF: Brazil 4 Finale event in Hollywood on June 27. Combate first reported the news.
Gordon (7-3) impressed in his Octagon debut, knocking out Dhiego Lima in the first round after scoring three straight decision victories during the TUF 19 season. However, the Jamaican fighter later dropped two in a row, losing to Chris Dempsey and Josh Samman.
Junior (4-1), who defeated Vitor Miranda to become the TUF: Brazil 3 heavyweight winner a year ago, dropped to 205 pounds in December, but lost to Patrick Cummins via decision. Now training at American Top Team, the jiu-jitsu world champion will now cut down to 185 pounds.
TUF: Brazil 4 Finale will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and feature Lyoto Machida vs. Yoel Romero in the main event.
