Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return from a near two-month hiatus to stage UFC 249 tomorrow night (Sat., May 9, 2020) live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

The ground-breaking and somewhat controversial event will be led by an interim lightweight title fight between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. The co-main event will feature a bantamweight title fight pitting current champion, Henry Cejudo, against the best 135-pound fighter of all time, Dominick Cruz.

Scattered with high-profile names like Francis Ngannou, Donald Cerrone, Fabricio Werdum, and Anthony Pettis, UFC 249 packs an even more powerful punch outside of just the marquee matchups. It’s one of the best cards of 2020 and the first one to bring action back to the sports world. Quite exciting.

In preparation for UFC 249, the promotion has released the latest and greatest episode of “Embedded,” which can be seen in the above video player. This time around, fighters continue to cut weight while training at the hotel before participating in a virtual media day. We also see Cruz have a run in with Team Cejudo and Ferguson accept a chess challenge. Behind the scenes, the Octagon is being constructed as strict COVID-19 guidelines are followed.

Things are going to get even more interesting tomorrow night when the cage door shuts and the Octagon action returns in full force. Fight fans will also get to see how things will be done moving forward for post-quarantine UFC events.
