There isn’t much Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight champion Conor McGregor can say to make up for a loss to Nate Diaz via second-round submission at UFC 196 earlier this month.
The brash Irishman has been known to belittle upcoming opponents via social media and in person, but his verbal arsenal will be shortened leading into a rumored rematch with the Stockton brawler at UFC 200 on July 9, 2016.
But, that hasn’t stopped “Mystic Mac” from partaking in his usual banter, posting this via his Instagram earlier today:
While McGregor did land copious amounts of strikes to the chin of Diaz during round one of their meeting, the 145-pound king was ultimately staggered on his feet before deciding to shoot for a takedown, which resulted in him tapping out in front of millions of viewers.
Still, it wouldn’t the McGregor show if he didn’t talk a little smack. Hopefully Diaz will come over the top and keep this entertaining beef going.
