Rashad Evans and his former training partner turned nemesis, UFC light heavyweigh champion Jon Jones could face each other in there much anticipated showdown as early as December when the UFC returns to Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.

In an interview with MMA Fighting Evan’s Coach Mike Van Arsdale said “I think if they give us any date, I can get him ready to beat Jon,” he said. “I’m not overly concerned about Jon like everyone else is. My fighter has the ability, tools and the determination to beat him. As long as he’s healthy, and I have eight or nine weeks with him — and it’s right around that right now, that’s all I need.”

Jones is coming off a 4th round submission victory over another former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson a fight in which he was able to further showcase is aways evolving game.

Dana White has denied this rumour, the fight will take place just not at this date.  This is the second time the fight has been put off.
