As I’m sure he learned from the Jon Jones picogram fiasco, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight, Sean O’Malley, is not going to garner many sympathizers over his lingering issues with the Ostarine, which forced his withdrawal from the upcoming UFC 239 event in Las Vegas.

Including former opponent, Marlon Vera.

“(Expletive) him,” Vera told MMA Junkie. “I don’t know what’s happening. I really don’t know if he’s really cheating or not. He was just an opponent, and I’ll wait for another guy. I will keep lowering my weight for a couple days. If they don’t have a replacement in a couple days, I’m going to walk away. I don’t want to be cutting weight for nothing.”

O’Malley was removed from the UFC 229 pay-per-view (PPV) event after testing positive for Ostarine back in September of last year. “Sugar” was benched six months for what appeared to be a contaminated supplement … and yet here we are again nearly a year later.

Sound familiar?

“(Some) people say, ‘(Expletive) the cheaters.’ (Some) people say, ‘He’s not cheating. It’s a Jon Jones situation.’ Honestly, I really don’t know,” Vera said. “I really don’t understand because technically he tested positive last time, and this time he tested positive because he kept showing the same stuff as last time. I’ll just let the professionals do their job, and I’ll do my job, too – go and fight someone else.”

As of this writing, Vera (13-5-1) is still attached to the UFC 239 fight card as matchmakers track down a suitable opponent. That said, “Chito” has no intentions of committing to a weight cut unless the promotion can drum up someone within the next few days.

Stay tuned.
