It looks like the chances of Fabio Maldonado competing at 100 percent when he steps into the ring with MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko in June are slim-to-none.
Maldonado, a former UFC veteran who is scheduled to fight Fedor at Fight Nights 50 in Russia, recently suffered a cervical spine injury.
Maldonado told MMAFighting.com that he is currently not cleared to spar or do any type of fight-training at the moment, but expects to be cleared to box in a few days.
Fabio Maldonado vs. Fedor Emelianenko is scheduled to headline Fight Nights 50 in St. Petersburg, Russia on June 17, 2016.
