Garcia is coming off a devastating knockout loss at the hands of Gervonta Davis earlier this year, his first defeat in his young boxing career. Still, the 25-year old says he isn’t dwelling on the past and is looking for a fresh start in new division.

“It didn’t have an effect on me. It just didn’t feel like it was me,” said Ryan regarding his loss to Davis in a recent interview with Brian Custer. “I didn’t feel like I lost. I just feel like a version of me lost that wasn’t how I am as a fighter and how sharp I am,” he added.

As for Duarte, he is eying the biggest win of his boxing career.

“I’m very hungry. I have great managers. I have their support, and I’m ready to win,” Duarte said via Boxing 24/7. “I’m very hungry. I’ve been in boxing for fifteen years, and I want to take advantage of this.

“I’m focusing on my strategy. I feel like I’m at my best, and I’m going to do my best on December 2nd,” he added. “It’s good [Ryan’s left hook], he’s fast, and he has power, but I’m getting ready for that. I’m prepared, and I’m ready.
