Jon Jones tried to make UFC 267 about him again, and fans were not having it.

It’s almost routine that on every major event or big fight in their divisions, Conor McGregor and Jon Jones would go on twitter rants to try and steal some of the spotlight. UFC 267 was no different. Like clockwork, McGregor went to his go-to insults towards Khabib and his team after Makhachev’s huge win, while Jones predictably took shots at Jan Blachowicz after his loss.

Jones wanted to establish a “new rule” on calling him out as he tried to make the events on UFC 267 about him, but a number of fans were not having it.

Check out some of the reactions to his tweet (HT: BJPenn.com).

Jones, who is now 34, last fought in Feb 2020, when he won a somewhat controversial decision over Dominick Reyes.

Since then he’s been arrested twice to add to his long string of controversies and legal issues. In March 2020, just a month after his win, he was arrested for aggravated DWI and negligent use of a firearm. In September 2021, just hours after being inducted to the UFC hall-of-fame, he was arrested for domestic battery.
