On Tuesday, news of a featherweight bout between German based striker Dennis ‘The Menace’ Siver (20-8) and Eddie ‘The Filipino Phenom’ Yagin (16-5-1) surfaced in a report from Swedish website MMAnytt.com.

The two fighters will reportedly meet this fall as part of UFC 151, which features a light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and Strikeforce’s former title holder, Dan Henderson. The event is scheduled for September 1, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Siver debuted at 145-lbs this past April after a career at lightweight stretching back to 2007 when he debuted at UFC 70. ‘The Menace’ won that featherweight debut, defeating Diego Nunes by unanimous decision at the UFC Sweden event. The win erased a loss in Siver’s last Octagon appearance, a first round submission defeat at the hands of Donald Cerrone at UFC 137.

Yagin earned a “Fight of the Night” bonus for his split decision win versus former contender Mark Hominick at UFC 145 last April. The bloody slugfest saw Yagin take it to Hominick in the first round but was unable to finish the Canadian, who began to pick his opponent apart by the end of the third. Yagin’s previous Octagon appearance ended in a decision loss at UFC 135 to Junior Assuncao in Denver.
