With the Ultimate Fighting Championship headed to Brazil this summer with what is likely the promotions biggest event, it’s no surprise that officials with UFC Brazil were the ones to announce via Twitter (@ufc_brazil) an upcoming featherweight bout for the UFC 147 event.

Meeting this June will be Felipe Arantes (14-4-2), who welcomes fellow Brazilian, Milton ‘Miltinho’ Vieira (13-7-1) to the UFC.

UFC 147 is expected to take place on June 23, 2012 at the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The stadium event is expected to draw between 60,000 and 80,000 for the outdoor event.

This will be Arantes’ third straight Octagon appearance in Brazil. He currently holds a 1-1 record in the UFC having earned his first win last January at UFC 142 by winning a decision over Antonio Carvalho. His debut took place last summer at UFC 134, losing a decision to Yuri Alcantara at the Rio event.

Vieira signed with Strikeforce last year, making one appearance with the Zuffa owned promotion before moving over to the UFC. ‘Miltinho’ won that debut, winning his third straight bout, by choking out Sterling Ford at the Strikeforce: Gurgel vs. Duarte show.
