Tony Ferguson seems to think Khabib Nurmagomedov is running from him, despite him being the one to pull out of their bout.

Khabib Nurmagomedov easily dispatched of his late replacement opponent in Darrel Horcher, in an impressive return for the #2 ranked lightweight contender (video here). His original opponent in Tony Ferguson took to social media immediately after the contest to try and get the fight re-booked.

“Not Impressed one bit by Khabib Nurmagomedov performance tonight against Horcher making his UFC debut,” Ferguson wrote on Instagram. “He demands for title shot… Yet demands media/no one talk about a real modern day warrior… Me, El Cucuy”

“The way I see it, YOU CAN’T RUN FROM ME FOREVER, EAGLE… We have only just begun… Fight a real UFC Fighter, Make some real weight 155lbs, and go five full rounds with me,” he wrote. “I’M YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE”

“Saving the Peruvian Necktie just for you Habib. I can’t wait to smash your face & put you to sleep”

Ferguson, who is on an impressive 7-fight win streak, pulled out of their contest because of a lung issue. Since dropping from the fight, Khabib has kept telling El Cucuy to ‘shut up’ because he’s the one who couldn’t fight.
