Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim 155-pound champion Tony Ferguson will collide with veteran lightweight Beneil Dariush at the upcoming UFC 262 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., May 15, 2021 inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

And he’ll do it as the +130 underdog.

That’s according to the oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag, who pegged Dariush as the -150 betting favorite. Probably because Ferguson is now 37 years old and coming off back-to-back losses to Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira, performances that made “El Cucuy” look his age.

As for Dariush, who turns 32 in just a few weeks, he’s the winner of six straight with four of those victories coming by way of knockout or submission. Dariush recently improved to 20-4-1 with a split decision victory over the rough-and-tumble Diego Ferreira at UFC Fight Night 184 last February in Las Vegas.

UFC 262 will feature the lightweight title fight between Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler, who collide for the 155-pound strap recently vacated by Khabib Nurmagomedov. Elsewhere on the card, Nate Diaz returns to welterweight against top contender Leon Edwards.
