I guess former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, isn’t the only super freak when it comes to recovering from gnarly leg injuries.

Interim titleholder Tony Ferguson also looks to be on the fast track to recovery after shredding his knee earlier this month and shaking up the UFC 223 pay-per-view (PPV) fight card.

“Healing like Wolverine they tell me,” Ferguson wrote on Instagram. “31 staples coming out next week. Like my manager Audi Attar tells me, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Time for some weights!”

He also hashtagged a bunch of stuff about “Snap City.”

With Ferguson benched, longtime rival Khabib Nurmagomedov ran through late-replacement Al Iaquinta in the UFC 223 main event. That leaves “The Eagle” with no one left to fight, now that “El Cucuy” is out of action and McGregor is in legal trouble.

Might be time to get this guy back inside the cage.
