I think it’s safe to say Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn’t taking his upcoming boxing match with Logan Paul seriously.
The 50-0 boxer revealed in a recent interview with Barstool Sports that he has no strategy for the matchup and that he simply has to ‘show up’ on fight night to beat his opponent.
“No strategy. I’ve just got to show up,” Floyd said, hinting that he will toy with Paul in the boxing ring.
“If I want it to go one round, it’ll go one round. If I want it to go two, two. It’s all up to me. His first name is Logan … Logan Fall after June 6, because he’s gonna fall. Tune in.”
Mayweather will return to the ring in his first fight since 2018, when he disposed of Japanese kickboxing prodigy Tenshin Nasukawa via first-round TKO in an exhibition match at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. His upcoming fight with Paul, which takes place on June 6 at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, will also serve as an exhibition. Paul is 0-1 as a professional boxer while Floyd is widely considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, making this one of the biggest mismatches in combat sports history.
