Michael Bisping jokes that he’s coming out of retirement.

If Conor McGregor is telling the truth and he is, in fact, hanging up the gloves and calling it a career, then Michael Bisping is coming out of retirement.

Shortly after ‘The Notorious’ posted a cryptic Tweet claiming that he had retired from mixed martial arts, Bisping responded with a hilarious Tweet of his own, joking that he’s preparing for a return to the Octagon.

“I’ve come out of retirement,” Bisping posted on Tuesday morning.

Bisping, who was recently inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, retired from MMA competition last year, not long after losing the middleweight title to Georges St-Pierre and subsequent knockout loss to Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 122. The Brit retired with a UFC record of 20-9, with many of his losses coming to those whom were confirmed to be using performance-enhancing drugs.

As for McGregor, many speculate that the Irishman is trying to negotiate a better deal with the UFC. The former featherweight and lightweight champ recently stated that he wants a stake ‘in the UFC company.’
