LAS VEGAS – Just three short months ago, WEC bantamweight contender
Joseph Benavidez fell short of his dream to be
a world champion.
After a hard-fought 25-minute contest, a heartbroken Benavidez was dealt
a split-decision loss against the only man to ever beat him, current
champion Dominick Cruz.
But the 26-year-old Team Alpha Male fighter didn’t waste time pining for
what might have been. Instead, he’s ready to begin a new run to the top
at tonight’s WEC 52 event.
