The Ultimate Fighting Championship has seen fit to release middleweight Riki Fukuda (19-7), while suspending Alex ‘Bruce Leeroy’ Caceres (8-5) after both fighters failed post-fight drug tests following bouts at last months UFC on FUEL TV 8 event.

With the event taking place in Japan the UFC opted to test fighters themselves.

Fukuda tested positive for Phenylpropanolamine, Norpseudoephedrine, and Ephedrine, all of which are banned stimulants and considered a performance enhancing substances.

Caceres tested positive for marijuana metabolites and received a six-month suspension backdated to the event date of March 2nd.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship confirmed the news on Wednesday.

UFC on FUEL TV 8 took place on March 3, 2013 at the at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Fukuda suffered a unanimous decision loss to Brad Tavares, while Caceres had a split decision victory over Kyung Ho Kang changed to a “No Contest.”
