Officials with the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced a couple of additions to this November’s upcoming UFC 154 event, pitting lightweights Mark ‘The Machine’ Hominick (20-11) against Pablo ‘The Scarecrow’ Garza (11-3), and a middleweight fight between Francis Carmont (19-7) versus Tom Lawlor (8-4).

The Carmont versus Lawlor match was previously reported for the Canadian show.

Today’s announcement was made on Twitter (@UFC_CA) by the promotions Canadian office.

UFC 154 is expected to occur on November 17, 2012 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Hominick enters the bout on three straight losses and is likely looking at staving off a pink slip from the UFC. ‘The Machine’ lost a split decision to Eddie Yagin at UFC 145, while picking up a “Fight of the Night” bonus. Previous to that he was knocked out in seven-seconds in Toronto last December at UFC 140 by Chan Sung Jung, and lost a decision to Jose Aldo in the same city at UFC 129. His last win came in January 2011 by defeating George Roop via first round TKO at UFC: Fight for the Troops 2.

Garza is likely also facing dismissal should he lose with back-to-back losses on his record. ‘The Scarecrow’ lost a decision against Dennis Bermudez in May at UFC on FOX 3 and was tapped out by Dustin Poirier last November at UFC on FOX 1. Garza’s last victory came in April 2011 at UFC 129 when he submitted Yves Jabouin with a flying triangle choke submission. The submission also won Garza the “Submission of the Night” bonus.
