Matt Mitrione
After imposing a suspension on UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione (6-2) sixteen days ago following the fighters negative comments towards transgendered fighter Fallon Fox, Mitrione has his next fight.
Mitrione will square off with former TUF 10 castmate Brendan ‘The Hybrid’ Schaub (9-3) this summer at UFC on FOX 8.
The promotion announced the bout on Twitter (@TUFonFX) on Wednesday evening.

UFC on Fox: Johnson vs. Moraga is expected to take place on July 27, 2013 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. The event will see flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson defend his title versus top contender John Moraga.
Mitrione staved off release from the UFC after back-to-back losses by knocking out Brit fighter Phil De Fries earlier this month at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in Sweden. The losses, a TKO defeat at the TUF 16 Finale versus Roy Nelson, and a decision to Cheick Kongo at UFC 137, were the first two of his career.
Schaub is on a similar run having gone 1-2 in his last three matches. ‘The Hybrid’ played it safe in his last fight, using takedowns versus heavy handed fighter Lavar Johnson at UFC 157 to pick up a decision. Prior to that Schaub suffered knockouts at the hands of Ben Rothwell at UFC 145 and versus Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 134.
