Jeffrey Epstein, who made zillions as a hotshot hedge fund manager, was found dead by way of apparent suicide in his cell last weekend in New York, where he was jailed on federal charges of sex trafficking.

In the wake of his passing, conspiracy theories — most of them suggesting foul play — began to circulate in the mainstream media. And recent comments from his former bodyguard and one-time UFC fighter, Igor Zinoviev, will undoubtedly fan the flames.

“What did I think? Somebody helped him to do that,” Zinoviev told M.L. Nestel at NYmag.com. “Yeah. I’m not sad. I mean, I didn’t have anything against him, like a bad thing, you know? I don’t care about his life completely. I don’t give a, let’s say, like, crap about how he die, how he live, or how he’s managed.”

Epstein was perhaps best known for what’s being called “Pedophile Island” following allegations that Epstein used his money and influence to prey on minors before passing them around to some of his rich friends.

Zinoviev’s lone Octagon appearance came at UFC 16, where he was summarily stopped by Frank Shamrock in just 22 seconds. “Houdini” (4-1-2) also threw hands for Pancrase and Vale Tudo Japan before walking away from combat sports in 1998.
