Former UFC champion Frankie Edgar wanted to score a spot on the upcoming UFC event in Brooklyn.

When things fell through, “The Answer” opted to fix a nagging groin injury.

Edgar went under the knife recently, and provided fight fans a lighter moment when he came out of being the operation through Instagram.

Groin surgery was a success. Was trying to get on the Brooklyn card but couldn’t get the deal done. So took care of a nagging injury. Shouldn’t be out to long! #AnesthesiaGotMeLikeWhoa
