It’s no secret Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is grooming Sean O’Malley to be one of it’s next poster boys. “Suga” has been feeling the love from the promotion during his short stint with the company after winning four straight to remain undefeated (12-0, 4-0 UFC).

The pot-smoking Bantamweight will look to keep it going and raise his stock even further this Sat. night (Aug. 15, 2020) when he faces Marlon Vera in the co-main event of UFC 252 form inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Before then, take a look at “Suga’s” most recent performance just a few months back. At UFC 250, O’Malley faced longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran Eddie Wineland. The action proceeded to pop off with a fast pace, as both men were more than happy to keep the fight on the feet, though neither really landed anything significant in the first couple of minutes.

Though it wasn’t for a lack of trying.

That was up until the two-minute mark when O’Malley casually unleashed a right hand straight down the pipe, turning Wineland’s lights out with one perfectly-timed and well-placed shot. The knockout win earned “Suga” a nice $50,000 post-fight bonus award, as well as a brewing rivalry with former 135 pound champion, Cody Garbrandt.

While that’s a fight to look forward to at a later date, for now O’Malley will look to earn his fifth straight victory inside the Octagon against Vera on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV).
