Authorities found Fulton hanging in his jail cell but will not release further details until their investigation is complete.

Former UFC fighter Travis Fulton was expected to plead guilty to federal child pornography charges in a hearing set for July 23 in Iowa. Instead, “The Ironman” was found dead inside Linn County Jail in what is being called an apparent suicide.

That’s according to The Gazette.

The 44 year-old Fulton, already scheduled for trial in September regarding a separate domestic violence case, was arrested last February on felony sexual exploitation charges involving two victims under the age of 18.

“The Ironman” was also on the hook for possession of child porn.

Fulton, 43, holds a professional recored of 255-54-10 with one “no contest.” He was last seen securing a submission win (forearm choke) over Shannon Ritch at the M-1 Global “Road to M-1: USA 2” event back in April 2019.

His final UFC appearance came in a unanimous decision victory against David Dodd at UFC 21: “Return of the Champions” in summer 1999, a card headlined by the heavyweight rematch between Maurice Smith and Marco Ruas.
