Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt will slug it out with ex-flyweight titleholder Deiveson Figueiredo as part of the upcoming UFC 300 pay-per-view (PPV) bonanza, locked and loaded for Sat., April 13, 2024 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

That’s according to a report from Ag Fight.

After an abysmal run from 2017-21, the 32 year-old Garbrandt (13-5) was able to win back-to-back fights for the first time in over six years, outpointing Trevin Jones at UFC 285 before stopping longtime bantamweight veteran Brian Kelleher at UFC 296.

As for Figueiredo, 36, he improved to 22-3-1 by defeating Rob Font at UFC Austin. The victory marked the first for the Brazilian since moving up to bantamweight and a couple of big wins — starting with Garbrandt — could have “Daico” chasing a second title.

UFC 300 does not yet have a main event act, but several marquee matchups have already been announced, including Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan at lightweight. In addition, UFC strawweight champion Weili Zhang defends her title against red hot 115-pound contender Xiaonan Yan.
