Cody Garbrandt and Petr Yan had an altercation backstage at UFC 245.
Petr Yan put on a show this past weekend, dominating Urijah Faber and adding the biggest name on his resume so far. Shortly after their UFC 245 bout ended though, Yan had a bit of a backstage altercation with Faber’s teammate and former UFC champion Cody Garbrandt.

For his part, Faber gave Yan some high praise, saying he expects a decade long rivalry between him and Team Alpha Male, similar to what they had against long time UFC and WEC champion Dominick Cruz.
“Congrats to @petr_yan on a great performance! This was a continuation of my 40th birthday present to myself…talk about feeling alive,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m sure we will be battling Petr for the next decade or so at @teamalphamalemma, gonna be fun. Hope everyone enjoyed the fight.”
The 26-year-old Yan is 14-1, and is currently undefeated in the UFC, going 6-0 since signing in 2018. Yan made his UFC debut knocking out a Team Alpha Male fighter in Teruto Ishihara.
