Gennady Golovkin wasn’t impressed while sitting ring side.

Gennady Golovkin was ring side in Las Vegas this past weekend, watching a boxing match between two of his former opponents in Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs. Alvarez won by unanimous decision, but ‘GGG’ wasn’t impressed at all.

“Frankly, I was expecting much more. It was just like a sparring match,” Golovkin said through his translator. “It was a little boring. They are both high-level boxers, they should give more to the audience. I didn’t see any emotion. I didn’t see anything special. It was just a good sparring match.”

GGG will be facing undefeated boxer Steve Rolls this June, and many are expecting a trilogy with Alvarez shortly after, if he wins. If you ask Golovkin though, he isn’t too concerned about the controversial decision with Canelo.

“Not at all. First of all, deep in my heart, I didn’t feel like I lost it,” he said. “Second, I enjoy my career, I enjoy my family, I enjoy my time and I’m sure there will be a third fight.”
