Thoughts: 30/1 odds sound absurd by mixed martial arts (MMA) standards, but it’s par for the course as far as Golovkin mismatches go. He was an even bigger favorite against Gabriel Rosado, Nobuhiro Ishida and Dominic Wade. Martirosyan is better than those three, but doesn’t have any special skill he can lean on against “GGG,” who should outbox and out-power him. Golovkin by stoppage is about -550, which isn’t too bad all things considered. If you want to get greedy, putting some down on a stoppage between rounds four and nine could give a decent payout if you portion the bets properly. This isn’t a fight to break the bank, just one to fatten up your wallet a little. Golovkin is about as close to a lock as you can get, but there are no sure things in this sport, so be careful.
