Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight veteran, Desmond Green, was hit with 20 charges on Wednesday — including DUI manslaughter — after allegedly causing a five-car pileup that resulted in the death of two women last August in Pembroke Pines.
That’s according to a report from South Florida Sun Sentinel.
The arrest report indicated that Green, 29, was visibly impaired when police arrived at the scene and now “The Predator” will have to answer for drug charges after both cocaine and marijuana residue were discovered in his possession.
To make matters worse, the 23-8 lightweight was also driving on a second suspended license and was not wearing his seatbelt. Green has competed three times since last summer’s incident, which includes his UFC Rochester win over Charles Jourdain, but is now being held in Broward County Jail on bonds totaling $194,000.
Stay tuned for more details on this unfortunate story, as they become available.
