Bobby “King” Green may be fighting on enemy soil later tonight (Sat., July 27, 2024) at UFC 304 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Co-op Live in Manchester, England, but the lightweight veteran still has a ton of fans cheering him on in the U.K.

Green will be featured on the PPV main card as he meets rising lightweight star and hometown favorite, Paddy Pimblett, in a pivotal 155-pound matchup. “King” is coming off a dominant decision win over Jim Miller back at UFC 300 this past April, but this is a bigger opportunity to steal momentum from Pimblett and remind the division he’s here to stay.

While Green has been mostly booed this past week leading up to tonight’s fight, the combat veteran still has some fans cheering him on in Manchester. In fact, “King” was able to incite a “Paddy’s a p—sy” chant while out on the town. Green looked to be at some sort of restaurant or lounge and got a group of U.K. fans to root against Pimblett. It was pretty cool.

Check it out below:

Green, who turns 38 this September, is 3-1 in his last four trips to the Octagon. The veteran fighter is currently ranked No. 15 in the most-stacked division in MMA, but a decisive win over Pimblett at UFC 304 could land “King” a Top 10 matchup by end of year. That will be easier said than done, though, as Pimblett is 5-0 as a member of the UFC roster and has only been finished once in his entire 24-fight career.
