Middleweight veteran Uriah Hall will try to get back into the win column when he takes on Octagon newcomer Bevon Lewis at UFC 232 on Dec. 29 from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Nevada, per a recent promotional announcement.
Hall, 34, is coming off a tough knockout loss at the hands of undefeated Brazilian sensation Paulo Costa. Before that, “Prime Time” was able score a big come-from-behind knockout finish over Polish contender Krzysztof Jotko back at UFC Fight Night 116 in September of last year. The former Ultimate Fighter standout has only managed to post a 1-4 record in his last five appearances so his UFC 232 bout could be a crucial point in his promotional career.
Lewis, 27, brings an undefeated 6-0 record to the octagon and is coming off a memorable first-round finish over Alton Cunningham on the second season of “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.” The Jackson-Wink protege has a real chance to deliver fireworks in his UFC debut so it will be interesting to see how he handles a dangerous opponent like Hall. Having teammate Jon Jones on the same card should help the middleweight youngster settle in.
UFC 232 will be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight rematch between the aforementioned Jones and perennial contender Alexander Gustafsson.
