Israel Adesanya continues to mock Paulo Costa following his knockout victory over the Brazilian at UFC 253, this time posting a gif of his controversial post-fight celebration with the hashtag “HAPPYHUMPDAY”.

Some fans feel Costa has acted poorly in defeat, with ‘The Eraser’ calling for an immediate rematch with Adesanya despite being thoroughly outclassed and barely landing a strike throughout the entire fight. Adesanya ‘slow-cooked’ Costa in the first round and then finished him in the second round, establishing himself as the ‘alpha male dog’ of the middleweight division and surging into the UFC’s top-three pound-for-pound rankings, just one spot behind undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Costa, who taunted Adesanya in the weeks leading up to the fight, believes the reigning UFC middleweight champ behaved inappropriately in his post-fight celebration and has sworn revenge on ‘The Last Stylebender’. Adesanya, however, doesn’t think ‘Borrachinha’ will ever get the chance to fight him again.
