Two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison will make her featherweight debut opposite veteran “Lion” Courtney King in the Invicta FC 43 co-main event, live from Kansas City on Fri., Nov. 20, 2020, streaming exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.

Harrison, who racked up a 7-0 record as a lightweight for Professional Fighters League (PFL) after making her mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in June 2018, is expected to make her return to PFL when the season resumes next spring.

“I am really excited to see Kayla compete for the first time at 145 pounds,” PFL President of Fighting Operations, Ray Sefo, said in today’s release. “She was a dominant champion at 155 pounds, and I look forward to her tackling another challenge on her journey to becoming one of the greatest fighters MMA has ever seen and I’m looking forward to her next run at PFL gold beginning in April.”

Here is the finalized Invicta FC 43 lineup:

Strawweight Title: Emily Ducote vs. Montserrat Ruiz
Featherweight: Courtney King vs. Kayla Harrison
Flyweight: Stephanie Geltmacher vs. Caitlin Sammons
Bantamweight: Brittney Cloudy vs. Hope Chase
Strawweight: Alexa Culp vs. Meaghan Penning
Strawweight: Juliana Miller vs. Kendal Holowell

Pearl Gonzales was bounced from the card after contracting COVID-19.

“I have been on a mission to show I am the best fighter,” Harrison said. “I have been tackling challenges my entire career and this bout at 145-pounds is a new and exciting one for me. I’m looking forward to competing in this new weight class and can’t wait to get back into the PFL cage come April.”
