For a second straight day the Ultimate Fighting Championship has added a second straight heavyweight bout to the upcoming UFC 135 set for this September. Squaring off in the Octagon will be undefeated Travis ‘Hapa’ Browne (11-0-1) and Wolfslair fighter Rob ‘The Bear’ Broughton (15-5-1).

Another big-boy rumble in the Rockies has also been added to the event, with Travis “Hapa” Browne fighting Rob “The Bear” Broughton. “Undefeated heavyweight Browne has verbally agreed to face Broughton, who is on a five-fight win streak,” said White. Browne is coming off a KO of the Night victory over Stefan Struve at UFC 130, while Broughton last competed at UFC 120.

UFC 135, which received it’s headliner today between Champ Jon Jones vs. Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, is expected to take place on Sept. 24 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. No indication was given if the Browne vs. Broughton fight would take place on the main or preliminary card.

Browne who hails from Hawaii, currently trains alongside such notable fighters such as Phil Davis, Joey Beltran and Alexander Gustafsson at the Alliance MMA gym in California. ‘Hapa’ is coming off a huge win over Stefan Struve last month at UFC 130. Browne used a superman punch to knockout the ‘Skyscraper’ in the first round with a superman punch. That puts Browne at 2-1 in the UFC, having fought Cheick Kongo to a draw at UFC 120 (Kongo had a point deducted for holding the shorts) and a first round TKO victory over James McSweeney in his UFC debut at the TUF 11 Finale.

Broughton, who was born and trains in England, had been tasked to fight Dave Herman at last weekends UFC 131 event but was replaced by Joey Beltran. Broughton hasn’t fought since his UFC debut last October at UFC 120, a third round submission win over Vinicius Queiroz to win his fifth straight victory. Before signing with the UFC, the English fighter has fought for various promotions across Europe, most recently winning the ZT Fight Night heavyweight tournament by beating three opponents in one night on January 30 of 2010.
