Henderson has ‘no respect’ for Machida following admission of banned substance use

Dan Henderson is furious that his UFC on FOX 19 fight vs. Lyoto Machida is now cancelled, after Machida admitted to taking a banned substance during an out-of-competition drug test.

This Saturday’s rematch between Lyoto Machida and Dan Henderson was supposed to serve as the UFC on FOX 19 co-main event, but that is longer the case. In a major announcement made on Wednesday, the UFC revealed that Machida admitted to using an undisclosed banned substance during a recent out-of-competition drug test. Machida claims he didn’t know that the substance was banned both in and out-of-competition, and while the results of his test aren’t yet available, the admittance itself is enough to remove him from his rematch with Hendo.

With the fight cancelled and Henderson pulled from the card altogether, Hendo expressed his anger on Twitter with remarkable brevity.

The UFC on FOX 19 lineup has since been reshuffled (again), with Rose Namajunas vs. Tecia Torres serving as the co-main event, while Hacran Dias vs. Cub Swanson opens the main card. Drew Dober vs. Islam Makhachev has been promoted from the Fight Pass prelims to the FOX preliminary card.
