Colby Covington doesn’t have many friends within Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), but “Chaos” believes reigning UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley is one fighter he could chop it up with.

There’s a reason Covington doesn’t get along with almost the entire UFC roster. The brash welterweight contender is cocky, wildly outspoken, and will say just about anything to get under a fighter’s skin. Remember, Covington shocked the MMA world during his last fight against UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards after making comments about the champion’s deceased father.

At the end of the day, Covington’s shtick is just that. He’s putting on a show to stay relevant, attract the most attention for his fights, and try his best to throw his opponent off mentally. It has worked in the past, but with a 0-3 record in UFC title fights it’s clear that Covington’s antics don’t work across the board.

Covington’s unpredictable and often-cringy persona has left him with a short list of UFC fighters that he could break bread with. While O’Malley hasn’t voiced his support for “Chaos” or anything like that in the past, Covington is fond of the UFC bantamweight king and ultimately respects how he handles himself as champion.

“[Sean] is not afraid to dye his hair and care what people think of him,” said Covington on The Rush Podcast earlier this week. “He puts his hair pink, he doesn’t give a sh-t… He goes out there and he shows them who he is. He’s an all-time great…”

“I think he’s got great style and he brings something unique to the business that a lot of these fighters don’t do,” added Covington.
