Hey Man, Why the Hell Aren’t You MMA Fans Supporting “Warrior”?

I have to say it’s pretty disappointing that our sport’s very first mainstream feature film opened this weekend to a dismal 5.6 million dollars. Warrior is a dramatic redemption story with two brothers who are Mixed Martial Arts fighters that enter a two night tournament for a million dollar grand prize (obviously the writers don’t know much about fighter salaries). The drama stars nobody too famous except for Nick Nolte but that’s actually kinda cool. You people know you want more movies about MMA, but if you don’t go see them, they won’t make anymore! There goes the Dana White story.

Usually, after a film’s opening weekend, the box office numbers just go down hill. Honestly, people I hope to see more support when this movie is released on September 27th!
